BEWARE o f Refund Offers from iYogi!!!!!

Today I discovered on my email account that on the very same day they contacted me, they sent, via Western Union, from my debit card $1600.00 to a man named Muhammed in an Islamic country. Oh, great!

Now I am funding ISIS!!! Fortunately the fraud alerts, turning in my debit card the next morning, and police report I filed the next morning, as well as the alert attention from Western Union, all combined to block that intent. BEWARE!!!!! They are slick.

If you try to "be nice" to them (i.e. understanding their terrible English), you will be led astray!!!

Scam of all scams

We have been having this same issue. They argued with my mother in law..calling several times. Told her ask for name and number so the name is Mike Parker, clearly he is not a mike Parker, he does not speech good English. Then after she hung up the phone. I called back and someone answer Hello.. so i hung up. they called right back, I came on glued. "You are a fraud, scammer, I am calling the police and the lawyer". If your a really company you do not answer the phone hello, Really. I told them that i want the address and another phone number for supervisor. He said i cant give you that information." Oh why not, Oh wait cause your a fraud..You should be a shamed of your self" May be you should consider finding a really job instead of scamming people. He said well i will suite you for talking to me like that...I said okay. Are you recording this..Well no he said. That is another thing most real company's record everything.

I had company for a couple years and everything was fine then all the sudden I could not get a hold of them and was told they were out of business. Recently they have started to call my home anywhere from 4 - 8 times a day. From a variety of 800 numbers . I asked them to stop calling me and they will argue with me. When I asked for a supervisor they put me on hold for a few minutes and then the same person comes on again acting like a supervisor. Several times they have told me they will not stop calling me because either they like my voice or they love me! WTH. Last night I got a call where the guy told me to stop being a child and let him access my computer because my network was being hacked so he needed to look at it. Today I got a call from a woman this time who told me I had to pay her $200 to have them stop calling me. I don't know what to do to stop these calls they're driving me crazy help me please

I keep getting someone claiming to be Iyogi person and stating they need to refund me my initial payment because they can not supply services that they claim He wanted to connect to my computer. I kept tell him no and if this was the case why couldnt they just send me the forms to get the refund. He just kept going around in circles. finally he said if he cant connect then just hang up so I did. !!!!! Problem is I have not had their services for that long I removed the support desk ages ago and I might as well have just thrown the initial spend of $379 down the drain. None of the support web sites work and none of the phone numbers they give you work completely useless !!!!! Unless they can prove it is not a scam I will cut my losses. Thanks Iyogi but no thanks. !!!!

Iyogi Refunds

I bought the Laplink product to transfer my data from one laptop to another. I've dealt with Laplink for over 20 years. Reputable company. I needed some help, so I called the 800 number provided. It was IYogi, who I knew nothing about. As theY connected to my laptop, the scam started. Before it was over, some 3 hours later, they had managed to get nearly $400 from me. I contacted Laplink headquarters, and went through a variety of people to get to a manager. They helped me, and put pressure on Iyogi to refund my money. This was 2 years ago and Iyogi was not well known. I got my money back through the help of Laplink. NOW, a new effort has started. Iyogi has my information from that event. Not to exaggerate, but I get called from Iyogi at LEAST 3 times a week wanting me to log on so they can refund my money. This week, I got called every single day. I block their number, and they use another. I've called their numbers, and get nowhere. When I call them, they assure me they will remove me, but the calls keep coming. DO NOT ENGAGE THEM WITH YOUR PC. THEY WILL GET YOUR MONEY IN A MATTER OF A FEW MOMENTS.

I was contacted by someone saying they was from iyogi to give me refund but when I was asked to let them into my computer I said no and was called a motherf..er. I told them again not to call me and keep the money I out laid or give it to some one that needed it more than me as I thought that after not hearing anything for 2 years was strange. I also went onto google to look up about iyogi and scams came up lucky for me I had read them first. so to all people use google look up things before you buy or do anything

Resolved: Getting Scam call from Tech Club company by presenting iYogi , Dell, HP, and Microsoft name

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 18, 2017

I did it my self by changing my phone number .

Original review Apr 18, 2017
Since 3 Months i was getting spam call from different number to my home phone and cell phone number. I requested those people many time who were calling me that, please do not call me or disturb me .

When ever i need any help i will contact you back. Still they tried to call me at least 10 times in a day. I did the complaint over every where, but did not get any response. Then i started investigate this matter .

When i started talk with them , they were polite and listing my concern. They informed me that , I am getting scam call from any company must be where you have registered your number. They also told me that if you get any call by the name of iYogi, or Microsoft or Dell or HP etc, that must be a scam call. because iYogi or any other branded company does not call there client from the company side.

So user must be carefully during dealing on this. (I found it is True) How lets see....... After 2-3 Hours , i received a phone call from a toll free number , They have informed me that iYogi is out of business and we have take over the iYogi. The company name was Tech-club which is known as Global Technology company.

I told him just give me 5-10 minutes and stay over the phone , i am getting down from my car. There was some noise from that people who called me from Tech Club. So i started point out what they were talking with other people over phone. I have got some get news from there.

The Tech Club People were doing this things with every one . They were calling to the people randomly not only iYogi's customers , they were calling to other customers too like Dell or Microsoft. The Tech Club is the master person who is playing this game with many people. They were calling from private number to the people so that people can not call to them back.

The Tech Club also diverting iYogi customers to there business and doing a big scam . I know it is not the iYogi because iYogi is still in business and serving people. I am also getting help from there when ever i need any help. If any one got to know the Tech Club name they sure that , it is a complete scam.

They were calling to the people and putting the result on iYogi. So be aware, do not give the remote of the computer to Tech Club.

They were the complete scam. The actual call is going from Tech club people because they want to harass all of the iYogi customer who do not want to pay to Tech Club.

Nutty 800 # Calls - Iyogi

I honestly think the company calling all of us now is different from Iyogi. I got the call about a month ago and like a fool, agreed to let them remotely come on my computer. Whatever they did was bad. They added some crap to show me that they could access all of my passwords, etc. I figured out what was going on and ended the call. Almost immediately after, I get some call where the gentleman is doing some yipping/chanting in whatever language the country of India uses. It was crazy. I have since blocked all of their numbers and they call MULTIPLE times a day.

They have been calling me and I never had a computer. How do I report Iyogi?

Guest

These people are scammers of the first degree. I somehow got routed to them when I called about renewal of my norton anti virus.

They offered a service to dial in to my machine, clean registry errors and so forth. First time...service OK. Then it became calls which routinely explained all the horrible things on my computer and the solutions ($$$$$$) they had. Last week they called me and wanted to sell me $800 worth of services.

They told me I had the wanna cry virus (I did not as I have active Norton) and told me of numerous other issues. I deleted everything I could find connected to them from my computer and then took it into a reputable computer shop and had them look for even more *** (which they found) that allowed them access. Now they are calling me 3-4 times a day.

It always shows private number but I apparently can block it and shall. DO NOTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Guest

I had to throw my computer away they messed it up so bad and they just called me asking for $1,500 for me to send them so they can send me back a check for 2000 to give me credit what a scam

Guest

Don't ever use them, I mean ever!!!. I cannot stress this enough.

6 months into a one year year contract in 2015, they were unreachable. 2 months to expiration they started to call me 2 to 3 times a day. This is December first, the called twice today already. They use area codes from Arizona, USA, Canada, today alone.

Unless I change my phone number, there is no way to block them, they use a new number every time. DO NOT repeat my mistake!

New I yogi Scam

I got a call from these people today on my cell. They claimed that Microsoft was requiring them to provide me a refund for service that I purchased because I yogi was going out of business.

They wanted me to allow them to access my machine and then they wanted me to allow access to my bank account. I did not do this but allowed access to my paypal account. Then things got really strange...

The screen started flashing. Script started running in the right cornor of the screen and I got really worried.

I shut my machine down. They did not like this and threatened me claiming they had loaded malware on my machine.

They then hung up..

I run AVG antivirus. Any additional suggestions????

Wipe computer back to factory settings is only way to get them off..You can go on Uribe and look up brand of computer,(Toshiba factory setting) and there is videos that tell how to do. But you must save anything you want to keep on back up ie flash drive external hard drive before doing this

Guest

iYogi is a rip off. They try to upsell every thing.

They continue to call me saying I have malware or 9 computers are using my network and I need to give them remote access so they can scan it and then try to sell me more of their ***. They try to load your computer with their own malware and then try to get you to pay to have it removed.

They have called me at least 30 times over the last two weeks and if I answer, it's the same old hustle with a different story line. DONT BUY ANY OF THEIR SERVICES

866-914-**** SCAM

I am still confused on how this happened. I was looking at my internet security web site for a contact number. I wrote down 866-914-****. When I called, there was no dial tone but some kind of music or something. Then someone answered. I told Brandy Anderson (she said that was her name) all I wanted was to upgrade my membership. She convinced me that she could take over my computer to see what had to be done. I let her because I still thought I was talking to my internet security people. When she got done, she said my computer was infected. Nothing I could do but purchase some firewall from Walmart for $979.91. I objected and she said I could order it from her for $599.00. I became suspicious and told her I would think and call back. She then started saying $149.00. She hung up. I finally got in contact with my security people. I was told I was scammed. The only intelligent thing I did was refuse to give her money. I looked up the number and saw that it belongs to Yogi. I have to find out how their number was listed. I will also report it to the government. Everyone should.

NEVER Stop Calling

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I dealt with iYogi about 4 years ago when they were actually somewhat helpful. After many follow up phone calls trying to sell me subscriptions for hundreds of dollars I asked to be removed from their call list. Last month they started calling again. They call and claim to be my computer technician and instruct me to login to my computer. I try to explain that I don't have or need a computer technician and to stop calling me. Today's "technician" laughed at me when I said I was going to try and find him personally and pester him as much as iYogi does me. He laughed because he is in Pakistan. He advised that he knew they were scamming Americans and did so because we are *** and give up our money easily. I have asked at least 30 times in the last month to be removed from the call list. I often get a busy signal when trying to call back and complain. They change their toll-free numbers regularly to hide from angry victims. It's hard to wrap my brain around the idea that if you bug the *** out of someone enough they will eventually use your services again.

Stop calling me!

I have recently received no less than 25 phone calls from IYogi, wanting access to my computer. I block the calls; I tell them to stop calling me; I yell at them.

And yet I continue to receive phone calls. I tell them to remove me from their phone call list. I block more phone numbers. I continue to receive these calls..everyday!!!!!!

And now I am getting annoyed at your website because it keeps telling me I need to enter at least 100 words. I have said what I need to about IYogi. I don't need 100 words to say it. I have recently received no less than 25 phone calls from IYogi, wanting access to my computer.
